Oh no, I am well aware of the fact that I cannot leave this even if I wanted to. [ There's some teasing in Strange's tone, but his voice is all lightness and cheerfulness as he talks. ] You don't have another mage. Ergo, I'm the one who you're going to call up the next time you need a werewolf body muzzled or a silver brand removed.

Besides, when the city burns down, you'll all need a place to stay. You'll always be welcome at my house.

[redwhaling]

[ He's not wrong but he's also discounting 'they try to figure it out themselves'. Daud knows enough about magic. She isn't going to say as much, though. In any case, he earns himself a smirk. ]

Even if I bring the old man with me?

[ Strange keeps that teasing tone and wry smile on his face as he talks. ]

The old man has to pay board. I like you. I still don't know how I feel about him.

[redwhaling]

He's alright. [ such staunch defense of Daud, amazing. anyway... ] Hurry up and get what notes you want out of the creepy book. I don't want to be here all day and I'm still not leaving it here.

[ Even if Red sprawled across a whiny little blue wyvern is hilarious. ]

Don't worry, it will only take a minute or so.

[ And then, Strange starts taking notes out of the creepy book......and like fifteen minutes later is still taking notes out of the creepy book. ]

[redwhaling]

[ She isn't actually surprised... ]

Strange.

Give me another minute or so! I'm almost done!

[ He will take more than a minute. ]

[redwhaling]

I'm counting to sixty and taking the book.

[ That's his warning. She is absolutely reaching over to snatch the book away when she gets to sixty, which is counted mentally, not out loud. ]

[ There is a round of FURIOUS SCRIBBLING before Billie takes the book away, right when Strange is in the middle of writing a word. ]

Honestly, you don't have to hound me like this.

[ says the person being the inconvenience. ]

[redwhaling]

You asked for a minute. You got one.

[ She's shutting the book now that she has it and slipping it back into the inside of her coat. In the meantime, Red has more or less dozed off on Alistair. The other dragonet will find wriggling away simple enough if he wants to. ]

[kingsroads]

[ Veeeery carefully, Alistair is trying to sneak his way out from underneath Red without disturbing the fellow dragonet. ]

I'll just have to find you again and finish taking notes at some other point in the future.

[redwhaling]

[ Red fidgets but doesn't wake, letting out a little dragony snore instead. Book secured, Billie moves on over to te bed to scoop that very same dragonet up. That does wake Red up and he lets out a sleepy chirp, but once he's in hand, Alistair is safe enough from additional pouncings. ]

We'll see. There's still a lot in here I need to try and figure out myself.
